Printers and merchants in Edinburgh. In 1507, Chepman was granted a patent by James IV to set up a printing office in Edinburgh, in partnership with Andrew Myllar. They published eleven short works (c.1508), mainly literary texts. Chepman, working alone, produced a Breviarium Aberdonense in 1509–10.
