A highly conserved zinc-binding domain (cysteine and histidine rich domain, ~60 aa) with uniquely spaced cysteine and histidine residues. CHORD domain-containing protein 1 (chp1, 332 aa) may play a role in the regulation of NOD1 (see NOD proteins) through an interaction with HSP90AA1.
