Hunter‐gatherer culture within the Norton Tradition of coastal Alaska dating to the period between 1000 and 500 bc. Characterized by fibre‐tempered pottery decorated with linear stamping on the exterior surface, lanceolate stone projectile points, and oil lamps. Most of the communities of this stage seem to have been fairly isolated groups and there is much local variation. Use was made of marine and terrestrial resources.
