(b ?Windsor, 1675; d London, 6 Jan. 1741). English composer. By 1695 he was singing in London theatres. He became a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal and lay vicar at Westminster Abbey in 1697, and Master of the Choristers at the abbey from 1704. He wrote anthems and services.
