Soloist, f.p. of Beethoven's vn. conc. 1806; cond. f.p. of Beethoven's 4th Sym. 1807. In Russ. and Ger. 1812–18, returning to Vienna to conduct opera 1818–21. Cond. concerts for Angelica Catalani. Died in poverty.
