Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

An implementation of an image map where the location of a link inside a graphic is stored and processed by a browser running on a client computer. This is in contrast to a server side image map where the processing is carried out by the Web server. Details of the image map are contained in the HTML file that is browsed; these details are similar in format to the image map definition files found on the Web servers which carry out the processing of server side image maps.
