[Ir., hill of Grian].
A hill in eastern Co. Limerick near Pallas Grean, thought to be sacred to Grian, a local pre-Christian divinity who may be Macha in disguise and who has associations with the sun. It was attacked by the five sons of Conall (1) and later by Conall (1) himself. In some stories the hill is known as Cnoc na gCuradh, ‘Hill of the Heroes’. It is 7 miles from Cnoc Áine.
