Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

The process whereby an ethernet discovers that two of the nodes on the network have sent a packet of data at the same time. When this happens the network takes some action to retransmit the data which could have collided. For example, the transmitters of the data may be delayed by a random time period before they retransmit.
