A person who is a prostitute and ‘who engages for reward in acts of lewdness with all and sundry’: R v Morris‐Lowe [1985] 1 WLR 29. A person who offers or provides sexual services to another person in return for payment, or promise of payment on a single occasion does not fall within the meaning of the term. Compare prostitute.
