A set of offices for interviews, physical examinations, laboratory tests, and ambulatory treatment used by physicians, nurses, social workers, etc., collectively referred to as community health workers, who attempt to meet the medical, other health-related, and social needs of the people in a community. Users of a community health center may be defined by their enrollment as patients or clients, or they may simply drop in to use the center when the need arises. A crucial requirement for professional staff is teamwork, effective communication among all, collaboration, and avoidance of actions that can impair or erode professional relationships.
