A membrane-bounded secretory vesicle formed by the coalescence of smaller granules (vesicles) derived from the Golgi apparatus, often a feature of discontinously secreting cells. The contents of the condensing vacuole may be concentrated and become semicrystalline and may be inactive precursors, as in zymogen granules.
