(CETF)

An inter‐agency group established by the Concerted Inter‐Agency Criminal Finances Action Group in 2003 in order to clear a backlog of confiscation orders and improve efficiency in the enforcement of new orders. The CETF deals only with orders made under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and the Drug Trafficking Act 1994 and does not enforce orders made under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. The task force is made up of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and police financial investigators, and Crown Prosecution Service and Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office lawyers, on attachment.
