Made perf. version from chaotic MS score of Mahler's 10th Sym. (f.p. 1964, rev. 1972). Authority on Bruckner, Delius, and Wagner (esp. The Ring, first part of his projected study of which was posthumously pubd. in 1979, as I Saw the World End).
