Shadowy historical king of Munster of the late 7th century and legendary ancestor of such Dál Cais (or Dál gCais) families as the O'Briens and the McNamaras. He was a grandson of Eógan Mór (Mug Nuadat) and a son of Ailill Aulomm, and thus sometimes bears the patronymic mac Aililla. Slain by the invading Déisi at Carn Feradaig near the present city of Limerick, ad 713.
