French master-mason. He assisted Luzarches in the building of Amiens Cathedral, succeeding him as architect in 1223, and supervised the construction of the nave up to the springing of the vaults. His son, Regnault or Reynaud, succeeded him in 1228 at Amiens, completing the vaults, and probably building the choir, Lady Chapel, and northern transept with rose-window. He began the south transept, completed 1296.
