A famous family of French dancers who performed at the Paris Opera in the 18th and 19th centuries. They include Anne-Jacqueline (who danced at the Opera from 1778 to 1802); her brother Jean-François (1764–1836), who taught Taglioni; and his son Antoine-Louis (1796–1849). The latter's son Eugene was a popular ballroom dancing teacher in England.
