A correction of a spacecraft's course during its coast period, using its thrusters to make the adjustment. A correction made during a space probe's flight in order to maintain its proper trajectory or speed is known as a mid-course correction. The corrections required are generally small, since trajectories are carefully calculated to conserve fuel.
