Myosin-binding proteins (~1141 aa) of the immunoglobulin superfamily located in the cross-bridge region (C-zone) of vertebrate striated muscle A bands that may modulate muscle contraction or may play a more structural role. They are structurally related to various other myosin-binding proteins such as titin, myosin light chain kinase, and myomesin.
