(1768/9?–after 1816), poet, born in Cornwall, later based in Rotherhithe and Blackheath, London. Her brother was the artist Joshua Cristall (1767–1847), founding member of the Society of Painters in Water-Colours [see water-colour painting]. A. B. Cristall published Poetical Sketches (1795) with Joseph Johnson, and associated with his circle which included Mary Wollstonecraft. She supported herself through teaching.
