Quick Reference

The homologue of an oncogene originally identified in an avian sarcoma. The alternatively spliced products, crk1 (204 aa) and crk2 (304 aa) are adaptor proteins that link cytoplasmic proteins to receptor tyrosine kinases through SH2 and SH3 domains. Crk-2 has less transforming ability than crk-1. Crk-like protein (CRKL, 303 aa) has similar adaptor properties.
