C0t curve

Quick Reference

The graphical representation of the kinetics of renaturation of DNA that has been heated to make it single-stranded and then cooled to allow reformation of duplex strands. The process can be followed spectroscopically and the rate is affected by the length of the DNA fragments and by the extent of repetition. Highly repetitive DNA anneals much faster than unique sequence DNA (single copies of sequences).
