Infection with the parasitic protozoa Cyclospora spp. (especially C. cayetanensis), characterized by watery diarrhoea, anorexia, weight loss, bloating, flatulence, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, low-grade fever, and fatigue. Transmitted by ingestion of water or food contaminated with oocysts.
