(Designers & Art Directors Association)
Established in London with the aim of improving levels of creativity in British advertising and graphic design, the Association's membership is drawn from those who have been selected for awards at D&AD exhibitions and is, in turn, well represented in the jury membership. It publishes its Annual, a selection of the best examples from the shows. It also runs an education programme, staffed by leading designers, for young professionals at the outset of their careers. It has been criticized at times for being self‐replicating.
Subjects: Industrial and Commercial Art.
