data source object

Quick Reference

Software code, often abbreviated to DSO, that is embedded in an HTML page which allows a user to have control over some data displayed on that page. For example, a DSO might allow a user to view a table in a different number of ways: by a sorted column, with specific rows omitted according to some criterion, or by some relationship between rows. Data source objects allow very much more control than is possible using pure HTML.
