Quick Reference

A pejorative term used to describe barely functioning software. It is derived from the fact that programs used for demonstrations to a potential audience of buyers are often rudimentary and only work if predefined functions of the software are exercised in a particular order. For example, ‘I bought the news reader that was recommended in the newsgroup, but it was useless—worse than demoware.’
