Ways of lowering blood pressure through controlling the type of food a person eats. A typical DASH diet has a high content of fruits, vegetables, and dairy products and low-fat composition. For those with sodium-induced hypertension, it is most effective when combined with a restricted sodium intake of about 1150 mg.
