Quick Reference

A cosmological theory built around the so-called large numbers hypothesis, which relates the fundamental constants of subatomic physics to large-scale properties of the Universe such as its age and mean density. It is due to the British mathematical physicist Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac (1902–84). Dirac's theory is not widely accepted, but it introduced ideas related to the anthropic principle.
