The title of a humorous ballad, probably of the 17th cent., satirizing the old verse romances, and of a burlesque opera based upon it by H. Carey, performed in 1737. The story is of a Yorkshire dragon from Wantley which devoured children and was killed by ‘a kick on the Back‐side’ from Moore of Moore Hall. The ballad was included in Percy's Reliques.
