(b Kibbutz Lochamei-Hagentot, Jul. 1960)
Israeli dancer and choreographer. She studied at the Rubin Music and Dance Academy in Jerusalem and with the Dance Workship of the Kibbutz Dance company and created her first work in 1986. In 1987 she and her partner Nir Ben-Gal (b Jul. 1959) began working as a choreographic and performance duo, creating Two Room Apartment (1987) and Equus Asinus (1988), among others. In 1992 they expanded into a company (still under their joint names) developing their imagistic, often brutal style of dance theatre in works like Anta Oumri (1994), The Enquiry (1996), and The Dance of Nothing (1998). They occasionally choreographed for other companies, e.g. Batsheva and London Contemporary Dance Theatre and in 1999 founded a dance centre and base in the Negev desert, South Israel.
