Bp. of Mende from 1285. He was one of the chief medieval canonists. He attended Gregory X at the Second Council of Lyons (1274) and probably helped draft its decrees. His Speculum iudicale centred on legal procedure; his Rationale divinorum is a compendium of liturgical knowledge, with allegorical interpretation. His Pontifical was taken as a model.
