Quick Reference

An essential subunit (p50, Jnm1p, 401 aa) of the dynactin complex. If overexpressed it will interfere with the dynein–dynactin interaction involved in vesicle transport. Immunophilins reportedly link to dynein indirectly via dynamitin. The dynactin subunit, p24, binds to dynamitin and affects oligomerization.
