Was king of Northumbria for no more than a few weeks after the death of Aldfrith in 705. He was dispossessed by a party led by Berhtfrith, an ealdorman, on behalf of Aldfrith's young son, Osred. It was suggested by Symeon of Durham that Arwine whose death was recorded in 740 was Eadwulf's son.
