Estonian dancer. He studied at the State Ballet School and joined Estonian State Opera Ballet. With his partner Agnes Oaks he joined English National Ballet in 1990 as principal. Noted for his elegant classical style and exemplary partnering skills, he appeared in most of the classics as well as the 20th-century repertory, creating roles in Roriz's Seven Silences of Salome (1993) and McGregor's 2Human (2003), among others. Between 1996 and 1997 he and Oaks danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet, then worked freelance, re-establishing their links with English National Ballet as principal guest artists. In 2009 Oaks retired from the stage and Edur was appointed director of the Estonian Ballet.
