Quick Reference

Modern dance work in three parts, with choreography by Forsythe, text by Dana Caspersen, music by Thom Willems, costumes by Stephen Galoway and Naoki Takizawa, and video production by Richard Caon. Premiered 28 Jan. 1995 by Frankfurt Ballet, Frankfurt. This densely wrought mix of dance, spoken text, and theatrical imagery was made in close collaboration with its cast and its sections are linked by the concepts of time and death. The first section, ‘Self Meant to Govern’, is often performed as a separate work.
