Quick Reference

An electrical device for measuring flexibi1ity. The protractor used in a traditional goniometer is replaced by a potentiometer positioned over the centre of rotation of the joint being monitored. When motion occurs at the joint, an electrical output from the potentiometer provides a continuous record of the angle present at the joint. Goniometers measure angles of joints in stationary positions only.
