The world contains both good and evil spirits, jinn or elijinen. Their drumming, singing, and dancing can be heard at times, and food is often left out for them at night. These spirits are not harmful, but they occasionally play practical jokes on people, and they also torture people who displease them.
Once, the spirits in the mountains of Ihrsan, armed with a spear, struggled against the spirits of the mountains of Adesnu, armed with a sword. During the combat, Adesnu was split asunder and remains so to this day; the crest of Ihrsan was battered with the sword and retains a serrated poll. They do not fight anymore, but they often talk to one another.
