American architect. His eclecticism was typical of the period, but his chief claim to importance lies in his drawings, especially perspectives published in American Architect and Building News and elsewhere: he produced illustrations for L. S. Buffington that helped the latter's claims as a pioneer of the steel-framed sky-scraper. From 1902 until his death he was editor of The Craftsman.
