Quick Reference

A competitor to the RSA, encryption system. In order to crack a cipher text constructed using this system the cracker has to solve a very difficult and time-consuming mathematical problem known as the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem. This is in contrast to RSA where the cracker has to factor very large numbers.
