ecstatic. She entered an Augustinian convent in Westphalia in 1802; when this was closed in 1812 she took refuge in a private house, where she had a serious illness. She received the stigmata of the Passion on her body. Her ‘Meditations on the Passion’ and other visions were taken down and published after her death.
