Inflammation of muscles and tendons attached to an epicondyle. Epicondylitis on the lateral side of the distal humerus is commonly referred to as tennis elbow; epicondylitis on the medial side of the distal humerus is sometimes called little leaguer's elbow. Both medial and lateral epicondylitis are common injuries of golfers.
