Is the set of procedures an organization has established to ensure the fair treatment of employees. The policy should be set out clearly and published in an accessible form for all employees to see. Everyone within the organization is bound by the terms of the policy, and any breach can result in disciplinary procedures. Whilst having an equal opportunity policy is good practice, there is no legal obligation for private-sector organizations in the UK to have such a policy.
