A benign asymptomatic disorder in which hyperfructosemia and fructosuria follow the ingestion of nutrients that contain fructose or sucrose. It is caused by hepatic fructokinase deficiency, the result of mutation in the gene at 2p23.2. See fructokinase (def. 2).
