Quick Reference

Bipedal thecodont (‘tooth-in-socket’) reptile known from the Lower Triassic. The thecodonts are considered to be ancestors of the dinosaurs and, apart from a limited number of primitive features in the skull, Euparkeria is a likely ancestor for most archosaurian (see archosauria) stocks. It was a small reptile, only 60–100cm in length.
