A system which offers an interface to a data warehouse. It enables the user to discover a wide variety of information from the data that is stored. Typically the user of such a system associated with, say, a travel agency, could discover information about the most popular holiday, the number of complaints made about certain holiday firms, and the age profile of the customers of the company. Increasingly such systems are also becoming capable of combining searches of a company data warehouse with searches of the World Wide Web.
