Quick Reference
A special type of endurance that enables participants to successfully complete demanding expedition-type events (long duration, ultra-long distance activities). In addition to aerobic fitness, expedition-type endurance may require acclimatization to high altitudes or high environmental temperatures, the ability to judge the degree of exhaustion in a team, and the conscious marshalling of physical, psychological, and spiritual resources for a supreme effort.
