Modern dance work in four parts with choreography by Weidman and music by Freda Miller. Premiered 11 Jul. 1947 by the Charles Weidman Dance Theater Company at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival with Weidman and Betty Osgood. It was based on four comic fables by James Thurber and became Weidman's most popular work. The New York premiere was 18 Apr. 1948.
