Quick Reference

A form of massage. The masseur starts fanning with hands together and then spreads them out to cover a muscle, moving away from a central point and out towards the edges. Fanning is used on muscles such as those of the chest and abdomen, which radiate outwards from a central point. It provides equal pull and pressure over the whole muscle to improve circulation of blood and lymph.
