Massachusetts almanac, founded by Robert Bailey Thomas (1766–1846), and still published with his name as editor. It has later been called The Old Farmer's Almanac, to distinguish it from its many imitators, and issued from New Hampshire. Its importance as a source of information on New England life and manners appears in G. L. Kittredge's The Old Farmer and His Almanack (1904).
