Quick Reference

The non-alignment of the femur and tibia so that the patellae face inward slightly instead of facing forward. Femoral torsion is thought to indicate an imbalance of the strength of the different members of the quadriceps group of muscles. It is also associated with femoral anteversion. Femoral torsion may be relieved by strengthening the lateral rotators of the hip joint and increasing the flexibility of the medial rotators.
