A district or regional sales manager (so called because his or her main concern is the control of salespeople in the field). The primary task of the field sales manager is to motivate and supervise sales personnel. Depending on the organization, the field sales manager may also be involved in setting salesforce objectives, designing the strategy, and recruiting, selecting, training, and evaluating the field sales personnel.
